Day One: Willow Tension Trays.

Willow is highly valued as a basket weaving material and this project offers a perfect introduction to weaving with willow rods. We will begin with a discussion about how to grow, harvest and prepare willow for weaving. These lovely trays are certain to become a favourite center piece for serving food or displaying your fresh produce. They are also useful for drying herbs. If time permits, we will make a smaller round version.

Day 1 – Saturday July 20 – Willow Tension Tray  – 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

Option to sign up for both days or choose one day.

Day 2 – Sunday July 21 is Willow Bark Diagonal Plaited Baskets  – 10:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.

Location: Salt Spring Island Lions Hall, 103 Bonnet Ave. Ganges, Salt Spring Is.

Registration Fee: For Either of the One Day Workshops – $140 + GST = $145

Weekend Special for Both Workshops – $270 + GST = $283.50

Suitable for beginners and all levels of experience.
